Welcome to the 2009 Idaho International Film Festival!
Our ‘Festival Village' springs to life for the 7th year as fans and filmmakers descend on historic downtown Boise to watch movies, meet the filmmakers, eat popcorn, support ‘Made in Idaho’ movies, attend a Gala Party or three, check out the free workshops and engage in lively post-movie debates with fellow filmgoers. There’s nothing as heart-warming as bleary-eyed film fanatics going to their 4th movie of the day. A word of warning though; please read the guide carefully when making your film selections.
This year we’re presenting another filmic feast with flavors for every taste. 50 films from 14 countries in 4 short days take you around the globe from the comfort of your theatre seat. Once again, we promise to present more great movies than it is possible to watch. Don’t miss the return of Global Lens – an eye-opening selection of 10 extraordinary festival favorites curated by expert programmers working with the Global Film Initiative.
