When Idaho Governor Dirk Kempthorne phoned Paul Revere to ask him to play at would be known as Operation Thanksgiving, his mind was filled with unanswered questions.

Would Revere and his band be available to play at such short notice and be willing to give up Thanksgiving with their families? Would it be possible to mount a a free concert in just three weeks for thousands of Army National Guard members from 26 States before they are deployed to Iraq? Would 21st Century soldiers who weren’t even born during the heyday of Paul Revere & the Raiders enjoy listening to men old enough to be their fathers (or grandfathers)? Would they recognize any of the songs?
