Black Cloud

"Black Cloud is a heartfelt hymn to the human spirit and its infinite capacity to triumph against seemingly insurmountable odds. Richly rewarding and profoundly inspirational." - Boxoffice

Great performance and stunning cinematography highlight actor Rich Schroder's directorial debut (from a script he wrote). Black Cloud is the inspirational story of the titular character, a young American Indian boxer who must overcome his personal challenges - before he will be able to fight his way to a spot on the U.S. Olympic boxing team.

Black Cloud (Eddie Speard) feels that he is alone in the world. He is haunted by his deceased mother, barely copes with his alcoholic father, and does everything in his power to drive away the woman who loves him. When he discovers that his great grandfather was from Germany, his inner demons are unleashed and he plunges into a self-destructive spiral.

Fortunately Black Cloud can rely on the wisdom (and patience) of his boxing trainer, Bud (a tremendous performance from Russell Means), to guide him back to the path to success. Bud is a mentor, a friend, a spiritual guide, as well as the only person who can help the troubled young man realize his Olympian dreams.
